Tidy-Ups

Some properties do not require major removals or long-range planning — they require thoughtful cleanup and refinement.

Tidy-ups address the accumulation of brush, deadfall, suppressed growth, and miscellaneous debris that detract from the appearance, safety, and usability of a property. These projects are often subtle but make an immediate and measurable difference.

  Common Tidy-Up Work

  • Removal of legacy brush piles and storm debris
  • Deadfall and compromised limb cleanup
  • Selective trimming around structures and entry points
  • Shrub and yard tree refinement
  • Clearing overgrown shoreline access paths
  • Disposal of old wood piles and unmanaged material

Where appropriate, we also evaluate surrounding trees for structural defects, decline, or elevated risk conditions during the cleanup process.

Newly Acquired Properties

New ownership often reveals years of deferred maintenance. We provide structured clean-outs that:

  • Remove unsafe or unstable material
  • Reestablish access and usable space
  • Restore order and visual clarity
  • Prepare the property for future improvement

Fire Hazard & Risk Reduction

Accumulated woody debris, dense understory growth, and low-hanging limbs can contribute to unnecessary fire loading and elevated risk near structures.

Tidy-up work often includes:

  • Reduction of concentrated brush piles
  • Removal of ladder fuels near buildings
  • Clearance around primary structures and access routes
  • Identification of trees with structural weaknesses or elevated failure potential

This improves defensible space and reduces preventable hazards without over-clearing the property.
