Trail Creation & Upkeep

We create and maintain trails all the time. We can get aggressive or stay under the radar.

Common Objectives

  • Connect different parts of property, shoreline
  • Boost overgrown footpaths, make wider for couples
  • Maximize land use, border loop, quiet strolls
  • Keep kids close, establish play area and limits
  • Dog walking, biking, snow-shoe, cross country ski
  • Seasonal upkeep and re-mulch
  • Hunting land, tree stand access

Corridor Creation & Refinement

  • Trail layout and alignment
  • Brushing, clearing, and deadfall removal
  • Hazard tree mitigation along the route
  • Canopy lifting and overhead clearance
  • Edge trimming for a clean, finished corridor
  • Selective thinning for sunlight and sightline management

Mulch & Surface Conditioning

We maintain an abundant supply of wood mulch that can be applied as a natural top layer for walking and biking trails.

Mulch provides:

  • Soft, stable footing
  • Reduced weed growth
  • Easy reshaping and maintenance
  • Soil improvement as material decomposes

Stumps & Roots

  • Stump grinding using compact mini skid-mounted equipment
  • Removal of unwanted root systems within the corridor
  • Standard root pruning to keep nearby trees healthy

Equipment & Site Protection

Compact equipment is used for controlled work in tight access areas. Ground protection mats are deployed when conditions require to reduce rutting and soil disturbance. Work timing is coordinated with rainfall, soil moisture, and freeze/thaw cycles to reduce site impact.
